I’ve just completed three months of hypnotherapy with Mahima and I can tell you that my outlook on my business has completely changed.   • Does hypnosis work?
    Quite simply yes - After surveying over 2000 journal articles, Dr. Alfred Barrios came up with the following recovery ratessuccess rate for hypnotherapy was 93% after an average of 6 sessions. This was compared to a 38% success rate after an average of 600 sessions for psychoanalysis and 72% after 22 sessions for behavior therapy.
  • How long does it take?
    Each Rapid Transformational Therapy session lasts around two hours. At the conclusion of your session, you'll receive a personalized recording crafted specifically for you. This empowering audio serves as a powerful tool to reinforce the positive changes made during our time together. To get the best results after the session it is important to listen to the recording every day for a minimum of 21 days - this is because science tells us that the mind learns by repetition and it takes 21 days to form a new habit of thought.
  • What does hypnosis feel like?
    During hypnosis, you may experience a variety of sensations, but it's essential to understand that hypnosis is a natural state that we all experience daily. You might liken it to moments of deep focus or relaxation, such as during meditation or engaging in a captivating activity. In this state, your brain transitions into a theta brainwave frequency, which is the same state we enter during the space between wakefulness and sleep. Some people may feel a sense of floating or drifting, while others may simply feel deeply relaxed. It's important to note that regardless of how you feel during hypnosis, it's a perfectly natural and safe process. What matters most is the effectiveness of the therapy, and rest assured, it's working to help you achieve your desired goals.
  • Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
    No! That’s an old wive’s tale. You have complete control the whole time. You can talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up and leave (I’ve had clients who had to stop to pee before!). Hypnosis is a natural state that we experience daily, similar to being in a deep state of relaxation or focused attention, like during meditation. Your brain transitions into a theta brainwave frequency, which is the same state we enter during the space between wakefulness and sleep. So, you're very much in control throughout the session. If the session is over Skype and our call gets disconnected, you may drift into sleep if you’re really relaxed, but eventually, you’ll notice that you’re not hearing my voice and open your eyes.
  • How does hypnosis work?
    Hypnosis is not magic – it’s science! It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you’re in REM sleep. This allows you to access the subconscious mind, including the limbic system, which is responsible for emotions, memories, and behaviors. The limbic system often resists change, which is why change doesn't always come easily. However, hypnosis bypasses this resistance, allowing you to make profound changes at a subconscious level. It's a natural process that anyone can learn to do.
  • What if I think I already know the reasons behind my issue?
    What makes RTT amazing is that even if you think you know the reason, you see it in a COMPLETELY new way. That’s what allows you to change the meaning and ultimately, change your beliefs. And for many clients they go back to scenes that are totally different than what they expected. Just relax and trust that your subconscious mind will show you exactly what you need to see. Remember: if you did know the real reason behind your issue, you probably would have fixed it by now.
  • What if I can't be hypnotised?
    While you might have a belief or a feeling that you cannot be hypnotized, most people are very suggestible. If you are able to form a belief, you can be hypnotized. Hypnosis is not only about trance and being deeply relaxed.
  • Am I assured of confidentiality?
    Absolutely. All clients are assured of confidentiality about any disclosed material, in accordance with professional codes of ethics. I do not contact other practitioners or doctors who the client may also be under, without the client’s permission. I destroy inactive files after three years in order to assure clients total confidentiality.
  • What if I go back to scenes that are painful or scary?
    If you go back to scenes from your life that are related to things like sexual or physical abuse, or other trauma, it’s important to remember that you are not reliving that scene, you are simply reviewing it and that you are safe. I will support you and create a safe space for you to express your emotions and heal – you’ll be OK
  • When will I start to see to changes?
    There are three types of change from Rapid Transformational Therapy – every person is different: Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviours right in the session. Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time. Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life. You may experience a combination of the three.
  • How do you book a session?
    To book a session, it's essential to start with a discovery call. This allows us to determine whether we'll be able to establish a strong therapeutic alliance and ensure that we're the right fit for each other. After our call, I'll provide you with a link to schedule your session, as well as a link to make a payment. Please note that payment in advance of the session is required.
  • Do you offer payment plan?
    Yes, absolutely! I do offer payment plans, and I'm more than happy to accommodate your needs. If a payment plan is something you're interested in, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
